Granite is a light-colored igneous rock that is composed of feldspar and quartz, with a trace amount of other minerals. This rock has grains that are large enough to be seen by an unaided eye. Due to the mineral composition of the soil, it is available in colors red, pink, white, and gray. Granite is used in construction for buildings, bridges, paving, and landscaping.
